Castlefields Primary School was established in 1973 as a co-educational school for nursery, infants and junior ages.  They have seven classrooms teaching children from Reception Class to Year 6.  Castlefields School Nursery is located within the main School for children from aged 3 years.

The school offers excellent facilities, including a hall with good P.E. equipment; two playgrounds, one of which is marked as a full size netball court; a climbing/activity playground; they share a large playing field which includes a football pitch, hockey pitch and long jump pit. They also have a secure fenced area dedicated to outdoor learning for the Reception and Year 1 classes.
